Sr. Product Marketing Manager

Our team is looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to take ownership of showing the value of our products to the market, prospects, and customers of our product. He/she/they will own driving the pricing, packaging and positioning of FocusVision Quantitative products. We are seeking qualified individuals who can take ownership, solve problems, and drive market and sales momentum with sales and marketing to win market share for our products.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
  • Financial Analysis and Business Case Development- Perform product forecasting, reporting, and metrics tracking. Analyze financial data and create financial models and business cases for financial decisions. Report on financial performance for regular leadership reviews. Provide what-if analysis to include market analysis, pricing, GTM, and growth for renewals, upsells, cross-sells and churn.
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Product Pricing – Drive product pricing strategies, pricing research and organizational recommendations, policies and sales support for FocusVision products.
  • Product Positioning - Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas.
  • Product Packaging – Own product packaging so that FocusVision products resonate in the markets and buyers and their pain points. This includes 1) assembling each products features, functionality and services into different editions that customers can purchase for each segment 2) Train and coach the sales team to speak to the needs of different customer segments 3) Provide strategies and tactics for upsell and cross-sell in the enterprise market and 4) help the product team prioritize investments in new features and services.
  • Sales Enablement - train sales on the problems we solve for our buyers and users for each market segment; develop internal tools (demos, playbooks, positioning statements, presentations) and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it. 
  • Buyer Journey - Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the whowhatwhen and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
  • Go To Market Planning - Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
  • Report on Metrics - Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Own Product Launches - Plan and execute the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Product Thought Leadership - Act and present thought leadership for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a software market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to sales, customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis, pricing and financial modeling and market research)
  • MBA in business, marketing or finance preferred
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • High proficiency and experienced in financial modeling and product pricing analysis.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce.
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot and Adobe, and Google Analytics.
  • Power-user of LinkedIn.
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer for content marketing.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team player!
  • Pragmatic Institute and/or 280 Group Certification highly desired.
