Product Marketing Specialist - Life Sciences

This position reports directly to the Director of Product Marketing. It requires close collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Corporate Marketing to ensure alignment of product marketing activities with corporate objectives and priorities. 


Responsibilities

  • Positioning and Messaging – assist in the positioning and messaging of LexaGene products in the target markets 
  • Persona Mapping – use buyer persona to inform content and campaigns
  • Product Launch – develop collateral to support successful product launch 
  • Sales Enablement – partner with sales team to build effective product training materials and sales support tools 
  • Content Development – create compelling, thought leadership content for inbound marketing
  • Digital Promotion – leverage online channels and digital marketing techniques to build awareness and engage with target audiences throughout the buying journey
  • Marketing Campaigns – manage the roll out of integrated marketing campaigns to drive demand and sales pipeline 
  • Competitive Analysis – monitor market trends and competitive intelligence on a regular basis 
  • Market Research – perform primary and secondary research to identify market problems to solve and growth opportunities
  • Customer Feedback – act as the Voice of the Customer, gather feedback and testimonials, and provide insights to internal team
  • Performance Dashboard – measure the ROI of product marketing efforts through metrics analysis and reporting 
  • Trade Shows – participate in conferences and events to promote LexaGene products


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or a related discipline
  • Life sciences and/or IVD industry domain knowledge 
  • 2+ years of product marketing experience or 3+ years of commercial experience in a customer-facing role 
  • A solid background in digital and multichannel B2B marketing
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into simple, compelling audience-centric messaging
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects to meet deadline
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions 
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time


Preferred Qualification and Experience

  • MSc, MBA, or Ph.D. is an advantage but not necessary
  • Proficiency in HubSpot, Salesforce, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Google Analytics
  • Proven track record of successfully taking products to market is desirable
  • Experience with qPCR for applied testing applications is strongly preferred
