Product Marketing Manager - Retention and Advocacy

Visual Lease is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team as a liaison between the Visual Lease Sales, Product, Customer Success and Marketing groups. This position provides a unique opportunity to elevate the positioning of our brand, solutions and services and to work in a rapidly growing, positive environment where your contributions can truly make an impact! This Product Marketing Manager will help develop and implement the company’s strategic plans around client retention and expansion and will support the company’s go-to-market initiatives involving customers and strategic partners (law firms, accounting firms, consulting firms, professional services providers and ISVs). This position reports into the SVP, Marketing.


What You Will Do

·         Develop the go-to-market strategy including routes to market and campaign planning for customer engagement, retention, upsell

·         Coordinate with customers and strategic Alliance partners to plan go-to-market strategies and initiatives to further our penetration of the prospect market via referrals

·         Work with the Product Team to ensure consistent engagement with a sub-set of customers to inform product ideation and confirm positioning

·         Define, develop and deliver impactful solution and services positioning content that can be leveraged in marketing campaigns, sales enablement materials and thought leadership

·         Contribute to the positioning of the product roadmap, as informed by market data and customer and strategic partner insights

·         Routinely collect and share competitive intelligence with Sales and Product Teams

·         Brief and develop relationships with key analysts covering our space

·         Drive development of compelling, time-sensitive key messages that resonate with customers and strategic partners

·         Leverage information gleaned from client case studies, customer advisory boards and other customer feedback sessions to inform and evolve customer-facing communications

·         Develop and launch the go-to-market strategy to deepen the delivery of referrals from our Alliance channel

·         Attend customer business reviews and other customer-facing events as VL’s SME (Subject Matter Expert) for our solutions and services

·         Clearly and concisely position our newest releases to our existing customers and the Alliance channel partners based on our competitive strategy and company positioning, highlighting our differentiation

·         Work with internal and external training teams to ensure that the company and its customers and strategic partners are prepared for each product release



Skills and Competencies


·         4+ years of SaaS Product Marketing experience

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field desired

·         Experience developing content for sales enablement materials and other customer-facing materials

·         Previous experience creating go-to-market strategies leveraging channel relationships (alliances, partners, etc.) a huge plus

·         Experience creating and writing solution and services position for various buyer personas a must

·         Be a quick study – someone who can distill complex subject matter into market-resonant materials for a range of buying personas

·         Previous experience working for a financial management solution provide a plus

·         Previous experience with Salesforce desired

·         Previous experience interacting with and/or running customer engagement councils a plus

·         Previous experience handling the go-to-market strategy and positioning around system integrations a plus

·         Composure and ability to form clear and accurate communications in dynamic product development cycles required

·         Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

·         Proficient in MS Office Suite

·         Previous exposure to or use of Pragmatic Marketing theory a plus

·         High drive and desire to win
