Head of Product Marketing

As Head of Product Marketing, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the European product, go-to-market and product growth strategy of one of the world’s leading fintech companies. You’ll foster cross-functional collaboration and coordinate impactful product launches, as well as develop and implement data-driven lifecycle marketing strategies across all channels to increase user engagement and revenue per customer. In this newly created role you’ll build and lead a growing team of Product Marketing Managers and work closely alongside members of the key marketing functions, including CRM, Design, Brand and Content. 


What you’ll do

  • Define and execute SumUp’s product marketing strategy across Europe and partner with the product teams to define the product strategy and feature roadmap
  • Lead the go-to-market plan and growth strategy for all product and feature initiatives - in close collaboration with Product Owners and Country Teams as well as in alignment with the business objectives and brand guidelines
  • Prepare and coordinate impactful product and feature launches that reach a maximum audience among relevant SumUp customers
  • Implement and continuously improve data-driven lifecycle marketing strategies across all channels (including email, in-product messaging, website optimisation and performance marketing) to increase user engagement and revenue per customer
  • Identify new key opportunities to further develop up- and cross selling opportunities amongst the different products 
  • Work closely with User Experience Researchers to understand and interpret the needs of local customers, and feed those insights back to Product owners as requirements
  • Foster a collaborative culture and define the associated prerequisites such as cadences, communication channels and use of common tools between multiple teams across the organisation
  • Build and lead a growing team of distributed Product Marketing Managers, whilst working closely alongside Product Growth Managers and members of some key marketing functions, incl. CRM, Design, Brand, Content 


You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have 15+ years of relevant product marketing and leadership experience managing a suite of software products; experience in the mobile/saas space is a plus.
  • You’re curious and can challenge the status quo, backing up your ideas with analytics.
  • You have a proven track record of exponentially scaling software products in high growth companies, quickly.
  • You have a deep understanding of multi-product environments and associated platforms and technology.
  • You’re comfortable working in matrix environments with multiple stakeholders, and have a proven track record of building consensus and delivering results. 
  • You’re a leader who balances pragmatism with visionary leadership and builds consensus among teams.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a proven track record working with stakeholders across large organisations.
