Director of Product Marketing

Cyxtera is looking for a product marketing leader to join our product & strategy team as Director of Product Marketing. As Director of Product Marketing, you’ll be responsible for helping establish and grow the product marketing function and owning go-to-market in a three-year-old company that has so far relied on sales and traditional marketing for growth.


Cyxtera is a PE-backed, global internet and data center infrastructure company. Cyxtera’s customers includes one third of the Fortune 100, as well as emerging tech, gaming, media, and cloud companies. Companies use our infrastructure platform to deploy, scale, and interconnect workloads including business-critical applications, AI/ML, online gaming platforms, and cloud & networking services.


You’ll be joining a cross-functional team and will work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, traditional marketers, and sales leadership to define and execute a product marketing strategy for Cyxtera’s global platform.


In addition, you’ll launch a new product-led growth process where anyone, anywhere can sign up and start deploying physical hardware and interconnecting infrastructure. This represents a significant evolution of the B2B sales process and technical innovation within our industry.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at strategic and tactical levels, whenever needed, rolling up your sleeves and writing original content. You aggressively pursue understanding of the market, stakeholders, and buyer/user pain points and needs, sharing your research in well written documentation to impact the direction of the business and our product strategy.


This role reports to our Sr. Director of Product Management & Marketing.


Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute positioning, messaging, product releases, and sales enablement content for Cyxtera’s global platform, including finding and iterating on a successful playbook for growing the pipeline
  • Transform Cyxtera into a product marketing and content generation machine (you’ll have budget/resources for this, with more available as success is demonstrated)
  • Drive product, interconnection, and feature adoption with our current customer base, driving bottom line growth
  • Meet with industry stakeholders and customers an industry events, including Cyxtera’s annual customer event, CyxteraCon, in Miami Beach
